Haven't updated in a month or so. My bad. I promise to get on this ASAP. Maybe. I hope.

In the time since my last update, I have:
-Addressed, stamped, and given to Mr. Fallon and Mr. Ingraham my recommendation letter envelopes and the Common App form.
-Filled out record release forms and addressed/stamped large envelopes so guidance can send transcripts/report forms.
-Filled out all of my Common App, and completed all of my supplements excluding two final essays.
-Developed an interest in watercolor painting.
-Gone to play practice 3 days a week every week.
-Had many headaches due to play practice.
-Not slept enough.
-Worried too much.
-Not been motivated for anything.

Sr. Serrano had a funny joke for us today:
Sr. Serrano: The seniors last year hated me in May. I'm the mean teacher. I'm going to be making you all do work right up into graduation.
Me: You can try.

So, realizing that it will be December 1 tomorrow, I sat down and compiled a list of all the colleges I've been thinking about going to and drew up a (messy) chart with all the deadlines so I know where I stand. Where exactly do I stand? Oh, on the corner of Insanity and I Can't Do This.
With several of the deadlines on January 1, I need to get stuff done ASAP so that the school can send out forms before we go on winter vacation. I need to go to guidance and get any and all forms needed and lots of envelopes so I can send recommendations and transcripts out. I probably need to get that done by about the middle of next week, since it will probably take them a few days to get things processed. Then I can worry about finalizing my Common App + supplements over the remaining days in the month.

As it stands, this is my list:
Boston University (top choice, 50/50)
UMass Amherst (safety)
Roger Williams University (borderline 50/50 & safety)
George Washington University (reach?)
Franklin Pierce University (safety)
Trinity College (50/50)
Hamilton College (definite reach)

I might add another state school to the list, since I have that scholarship, but.. I'm not sure which, if any, I'm interested in going to.

Hooray for applying to Life! Let's hope I get accepted.

So, I'm pretty sure unless I suddenly have a ridiculously intense writing marathon, I won't be finishing the 50k this month. I'm slowly closing in on 20k, and the next few days are going to be even more insane than the last few (school + college apps + Thanksgiving at floral department  + some sleeping and eating = NO TIME).

I'm not upset, though. I wrote more this past month than I have in a very long time, and I have a solid start to my novel, so I can slowly chip away at it.

Congratulations to all of you who have finished or hit 50k, and congratulations to those of you who did not. You did good.

So, I didn't have play practice today like I thought I did, so I'm stuck at home until 4:30 before going to work until 7:30. I've finished all my homework already, so once I get home, it'll be time for some serious writing. I'm aiming for at least +3k tonight, and more if I can manage it. I'll probably write a bit while I'm at work tonight, assuming it's slow.

I also need to find time to work on my stuff for creative writing. Here is my 'ode' that I finished today.

Whoever decided that having Spanish class first period on a Monday morning was a jerk. =] Not looking forward to that tomorrow.

But, we get to start our water color painting in art, so I'm happy! :D I can't wait. Hooray.

I should be doing a NaNo sprint right now, but I'm lazy and talking to Maya instead. And trying to finish Spanish homework from.. Thursday. Eh. Should have done it Friday when I was home sick, but too late now. I'm born to procrastinate. One month until I can use my 2009 Planner for the Creative Procrastinator aka Planner of Awesomeness.

Right, got to do that Spanish homework now before I go back to writing.. Figure I can get another hour or so of typing in before I have to call it a night.

Today shall be busy... I overslept this morning (hit off instead of snooze) and didn't get up until 11:30. Yikes.
I just hopped out of the shower and I'm waiting for my laundry to dry so I can finish getting ready to work. Then, it's off to a few hours of flowers. I'll probably be stuck doing the water changes (again) because nobody else wants to do it and leaves it for me since I'm the last person there. Grr. Then I have to read some of Wuthering Heights for English. I should have done that Friday when I was home sick, but I was busy trying to catch up on NaNo (I think 3k words when I was sick was pretty decent.)

I did hit 15k last night (this morning?) before going to sleep. I'm going to try to finish my homework by 9:00 so I can get some sprints in (probably from 9-1?) but we'll see how that goes.

Sandra, I just flipped open my agenda to check what homework I still need to do.. When did you scribble notes all over it? I totally missed that..

I should go dry my hair while I wait for my laundry to dry. Guess I'll be off for now.

for november 15th, i started around 8k words. i ended at just over 14k words. i'm still doing some sprints with my nanosprints & nanointothenight buddies (i'm xxw0lfsbane, for all of you who added me) but i fear i will be sleeping soon. maybe just one more sprint... gotta hit 15k before bed.

I'm up to 12.3k.
I'm going to get as close to 20k tonight as I can, so I'd be only a few days behind.


[edit] 13,714 as of 11:20. A few more sprints for the night.. actually, probably a lot. I need the words. Agh.

Gonna try this after work tomorrow. My word count needs it. D=
